Toro Loco Wine
The best of spain in a bottle
Toro Loco is a bold Spanish wine brand.
Behind every bottle of Toro Loco wine lies a legacy of passion, dedication, and a deep-rooted commitment to quality. Our journey began with a simple yet ambitious goal: to create fresh and fruity Spanish wines that capture the essence of the land and can be enjoyable all around the world.
For decades, we have forged partnerships with 3 000 winegrowing families, working hand in hand to cultivate vineyards and to offer more responsable wines. This collaborative approach not only ensures the sustainability of our vineyards but also fosters a sense of community and shared purpose.
Utiel-Requena
uncovering a hidden terroir
Nestled at an altitude ranging from 600 to 900 meters above sea level, Utiel-Requena is a region with distinctive climatic conditions that create the perfect environment for vine growth.
Mediterranean breezes sweeping through the vineyards harmonize with the variations in altitude. Grapes can mature gradually thanks to an ideal temperature spread: warm days and cool nights allow the grapes to preserve their acidity and develop complex flavours.
Bobal
An indigenous grape variety
Bobal, an indigenious grape variety from Valencia region, embodies the richness of Mediterranean terroir. It represents around 70% of the region’s total vineyard area. This grape renowned for its profound structure and vibrant color gives rise to a wine that delights senses with the aromas of ripe black fruit, subtle floral notes, and a hint of spices.
When grown in the Spanish heat, it retains acidity and helps produce wines characterized by their freshness and relatively low alcohol levels. It also has high levels of antioxidants: Bobal is one of the grape varieties with the highest concentration of resveratrol, an anti-carcinogenic and cardiovascular disease-protective element.
